Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. dill seed (or dill weed)
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 hot red pepper for each jar
  • 1 hot green pepper for each jar
  • 2 slices garlic for each jar
  • fresh okra
  • 1 qt. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Place 1/2 teaspoon dill and mustard seed in each jar along with 2 slices of garlic and hot peppers. Wash and dry okra and pack in jars.

    Do not bruise.

    Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil.

    Pour hot mixture over okra in jars and seal, allow to stand two weeks before using.
