  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon or almond flavoring

Directions

    Blend butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and lemon or almond flavoring.

    Then add flour alternately with milk.

    Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.

    Put in cold oven and turn heat to 325°.

    Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until done.
