- 4 1/2 to 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 pkg. yeast or quick rise yeast
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 egg
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1In large mixer bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and cinnamon.

2Mix well.

3Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120° to 130°); butter does not need to melt.

4Add to flour mixture.

5Add egg.

6Beat at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

7By hand, add raisins and enough remaining flour to make a firm dough.

8Knead on well floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 to 10 minutes.

9Place in greased pot, turning to grease top.

10Cover; let rise in warm place for 40 minutes (20 minutes for quick rise yeast).
