- 2 beaten eggs
- 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 2/3 c. soft shortening
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
Directions

1Stir until dissolved the water, salt, sugar and yeast, then add slightly beaten eggs and shortening.

2First mix with spoon, then with hands; add potatoes and flour.

3After mixing thoroughly, place in refrigerator about 2 hours before baking.

4Shape into desired shape.

5Cover and let rise until light or double in size.

6Bake at 400° until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.

7Makes 4 dozen or can be used in smaller quantities and will store about 4 days in refrigerator.
