- 1 c. quick oats
- 1 1/3 c. hot water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Pour hot water over rolled wheat and let stand.

2Cream sugar and shortening.

3Add eggs, flour, soda and cinnamon.

4Mix and then add rolled wheat.

5Bake 40 minutes or until done at 350°.

6This will make a 19 x 13-inch cake.

7(I use a 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.) Serve with Butterscotch Sauce.
