Salmon Mousse

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. cottage cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 envelope gelatin
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh dill or 1/2 Tbsp. dried dill
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1 (7 oz.) can pink salmon, drained

    Blend or process first 3 ingredients and set aside.

    Blend next 4 ingredients and add remaining ingredients.

    Blend until well mixed.

    Slowly add first mixture and pour into a 1-quart mold.

    Chill and serve with crackers.

    Recipe can be made with low-fat milk, cottage cheese and mayonnaise.
