- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cook sausage and crumble.

2Drain off excess grease and place in the bottom of a greased baking pan.

3Mix remaining ingredients together well.

4Pour over sausage and bake in a 425° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
