- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 5 Tbsp. shortening
- mixture of 1/2 milk and 1/2 buttermilk
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour (or mix well with your hands).

2Add enough milk mixture to moisten.

3Roll out dough on floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter or roll with floured hands.

4Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 12 to 15 minutes at 450°.
