Ingredients

  • 2 medium white potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 can kidney beans, drain off juice
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and grease drained off
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

    Layer potatoes, onion, meat, beans, salt and pepper in casserole dish, until nearly full.

    Pour tomato sauce over all. Cover and bake 1 hour in slow oven (250° to 300°).

    Uncover and bake 1/2 hour longer.

    Serve piping hot as one dish meal with a salad.
