- 1 lb. shrimp
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
- 4 small cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 bay leaves
Directions

1Cut large shrimp in half.

2Blend flour into oil and brown, stirring constantly.

3Add water gradually and cook until thick, smooth and shining.

4Add remaining ingredients.

5Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

6Add shrimp.
-
7Cook 5 more minutes.

8Serve over rice.
