Ingredients
- 2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 large green pepper, chopped fine
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 2 ribs celery, chopped fine
- 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 large bay leaf
- 2 c. chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 drops Tabasco
Directions

1In large heavy skillet melt 2 tablespoons butter over low heat.

2Saute onion until limp but not brown.

3Push onion to one side and add flour, stirring until brown.

4Add all other ingredients except shrimp.

5Stir constantly until mixture thickens and comes to slow boil.

6Lower heat until mixture simmers.

7Cover and continue to cook about 35 minutes.
