Ingredients
- 2 onions, cut lengthwise in half, then crosswise into thin slices
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup 25%-less-sodium chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 boneless pork shoulder (3 lb./1.4 kg)
- 1 bottle (425 mL) Bull's-Eye Bold Original Barbecue Sauce
Directions

1Place onions and garlic in slow cooker.

2Add broth.

3Combine next 4 ingredients; rub onto meat.

4Place in slow cooker; cover with lid.

5Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 5 to 6 hours).

6Remove meat from slow cooker, leaving sauce in slow cooker.

7Remove and discard any large pieces of fat from meat.

8Shred meat with 2 forks.

9Return meat to slow cooker.

10Stir in barbecue sauce.
