  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and continue beating.

    Add sour cream, vanilla and flour. Beat until smooth.

    Fold with a spoon the egg whites last. Bake in greased tube pan 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
