- 9 bacon slices, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 large egg yolks
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- Additional grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Combine bacon and butter in heavy large skillet over medium heat.

2Saute until bacon is brown and crisp.

3Using slotted spoon, transfer bacon to paper towels and drain.

4Whisk cream, 1/2 cup grated cheese and egg yolks in medium bowl to blend; whisk in 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet.

5Set cream mixture aside; discard remaining drippings.

6Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally.

7Drain pasta and return to same pot.

8Add cream mixture to pasta.

9Toss over medium-low heat until sauce cooks through and coats pasta thickly, about 4 minutes (do not boil).

10Mix in bacon.

11Season to taste with salt and pepper.

12Divide pasta among 6 plates.

13Serve, passing additional cheese separately.
