- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms stems and pieces, drained
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. each: sugar, oregano and basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 7 oz. thin spaghetti
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Brown ground beef and onion; drain.

3Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms and seasonings.

4Bring to a boil.

5Cook spaghetti; drain.

6Add margarine to spaghetti; toss to melt margarine.

7Place half of the spaghetti with half the meat mixture; repeat layers.

8Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.

9Top with Mozzarella cheese.

10Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes, or until bubbling around edge.
