  • 1/4 p split peas
  • 1 medium potato thickly sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 Tblsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • salt

    Bring 1st 4 ingredients to a boil.

    Cook, partially covered over low heat until split peas are soft (appr. 30 min.). Skim off foam.

    Drain reserving cooking liquid

    Remove bay leaf
  5. 5
    Add rest of ingredients
  6. 6
    Puree
