Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
- 1 c. green split peas, washed and sorted
- 3 qt. water
- parsley, dill, oregano and bay leaves to taste
- 1/4 to 1 c. carrots
- 1/4 to 1 c. celery
- 1/4 to 1 c. cabbage
- 1/4 to 1 c. onion
- canned or fresh corn
- 2 cubes beef or chicken bouillon
- 1 jar Gerber 2nd or 3rd foods (chicken or beef)
Directions
-
1Heat water, peas and spices to boiling.

2Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours until peas are soft.

3Add vegetables and simmer until tender (may need to add more water).

4Add bouillon and jarred meat.

5Heat and serve.
