- 3 egg whites
- 3 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. cold water
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon
Directions

1Beat egg whites until medium stiff.

2Drop egg yolks into cold water.

3Beat until foamy.

4Add sugar gradually, beating continuously.

5Sift cake flour, salt and baking powder.

6Fold sifted mixture into egg yolk and add vanilla or lemon.

7Stir egg whites and fold in.

8Use tube pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes.

9Invert when done.
