- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- Vegetable oil
Directions

2Pour oil to a depth of 3 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375°. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into oil, and fry, in batches, 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels; serve immediately.
