- 1 qt. squash
- 1/2 c. onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg (optional)
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/3 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 c. grated cheese (Cheddar or Colby)
- 1 tsp. salt for water
- black pepper to taste
Directions

1Cook squash and half of onion in salted water until tender. Drain and mash.

2Add margarine first (to melt).

3Add rest of ingredients, with cheese last.

4Pour in small casserole.

5Bake at 400° until starts to brown.
