- 2 lb. squash
- 1 large onion
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 stick melted margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook squash and onion.

2Drain.

3Beat eggs.

4Add remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs and cheese.

5In buttered 2-quart casserole, layer bread crumbs, squash and cheese.

6Repeat and top with remaining bread crumbs.

7Dot with margarine.

8Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
