- 1 large cabbage (3 lb.)
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. dried leaf rosemary, crumbled
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Halve the cabbage; thinly slice crosswise and rinse with cold water.

2In a large pot, cook the bacon until crisp.

3Remove bacon; drain on paper towel and crumble.

4Return 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings to pot.

5Add cabbage, onion, caraway seed and rosemary to pot, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender (if needed, add 2 tablespoons water), about 15 minutes.

6Stir in crumbled bacon, salt and pepper.
