Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cans tomato soup
  • 3 cans water
  • 1 can sauerkraut

    Cut out the core in cabbage.

    Steam cabbage in boiling water just until leaves are wilted.

    Remove from water and separate leaves.

    In big pot, mix soup, water and sauerkraut; bring to boil.

    Then turn it down to a slow boil.

    Mix ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, pepper, salt and 2 eggs together.

    Put about 1/2 cup of meat mixture on leaf of cabbage.

    Roll it up and push in ends to form roll.

    Put rolls into tomato soup and cook 1 1/2 hours.

    If you don't like sauerkraut, leave it out and add 1 tablespoon vinegar instead.
