- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb-flavored stuffing mix, divided use
- 1 c. canned stewed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Combine 1 cup stuffing mix with the tomatoes, ground chuck, and egg, mixing well with your hands.

2Prepare remaining stuffing mix as directed on package, following directions as if you were using all the bread.

3Divide the meat mixture in half.

4Drop chunks of half of the meat into 8 x 8-inch pan.

5Top with the prepared stuffing and press down gently.

6Layer the rest of the meat mixture on top.

7Again in chunks.

8Bake at 350°

9for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending upon the amount of meat used.
