Ingredients
- 3 lb. white cabbage, shredded
- 2 white onions, chopped fine
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. yellow vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 green pepper, chopped fine
- 1 or 2 carrots, grated
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. celery seed
Directions

1Combine cabbage, pepper, onions, carrots and sugar in large bowl; mix well.

2Mix the oil, vinegar, celery seed and salt in saucepan.

3Bring to a boil; pour over cabbage mixture.

4Stir until very well mixed.

5Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Let stand 3 days.

6Flavor improves the longer it stands.

7Will keep for a month in refrigerator.
