  • 1/2 lb. butter, softened
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) chocolate bar (Hershey)
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk well. Add salt, vanilla and flour. Put on cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. While hot, break chocolate and place on top.

    Sprinkle nuts on top, then cut into squares while hot.
