- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes (about 3)
- 1 1/2 lb. boiling potatoes (about 5)
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper
- 1 c. chicken stock or canned broth
- 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Butter a 2-quart baking dish.

3Mince garlic.

4Peel sweet and white potatoes.

5Cut into thin slices. Put sweet potatoes in baking dish.

6Dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and the garlic.

7Put white potatoes on top.

8Add stock. Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter and combine with bread crumbs, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

9Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over potatoes.

10Cover loosely with foil.

11Bake 25 minutes.

12Remove foil and continue baking until potatoes are soft and crumbs are golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
