Watercress Salad With Strawberries

  • 2 bunches watercress
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper

    Remove and discard all heavy stems from the watercress.

    Rinse the watercress thoroughly, then dry it on paper towels or in a salad spinner.

    Put in a bowl.

    Rinse the strawberries and remove the hulls.

    If the berries are large, slice them.

    Otherwise, cut them into quarters.
