Wild Rice Soup

  • 1/3 c. rinsed wild rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • water
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 4 c. milk

Directions

    Mix wild rice, salt and water.

    Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 45 minutes.

    Drain.

    Saute celery and onion in margarine until done.

    Add sauted mixture to salt, pepper, flour and milk and heat. Add wild rice, heat again.

    Serve with chopped parsley and/or bacon, crumbled.
