  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 medium onions, cut in 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 tsp. sage (or to taste)
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 c. water
