- 2 c hot water
- 1/2 c sugar
- 3/4 c shortening, melted
- 1 egg
- 4 c self rising flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2In a large bowl dissolve yeast in 1 cup of hot water. Mix together the remaining 1 cup water, shortening, sugar, and egg. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Spoon into greased muffin pan and bake for 20 minutes.
