- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon almond extract
- 14 cup blanched unsalted almonds
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients in abowl.

2Cut in shortening with pastry cutter or a fork.

3Add beaten eggs and almond extract, stirring with a spoon until mixed.

4Preheat oven to 325*.

5Shape dough into balls the size of a large cherry.
