  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix applesauce, sugar and margarine.

    Dissolve soda in 2 tablespoons warm water; add to sugar mixture.

    Mix well.

    Add 2 cups flour, cinnamon, baking powder and vanilla.

    Mix 1 cup flour with pecans and raisins.

    Combine both mixtures; pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
