  • 1 c. dried chopped apricots
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. frozen orange juice
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Soak apricots in warm water about 20 minutes.

    Cream sugar, shortening and egg.

    Stir in orange juice and 1/4 cup sugar.

    Sift dry ingredients and mix with creamed mixture.

    Drain apricots and stir into batter with nuts.

    Bake at 350° for about 1 hour in greased and floured bread pan.
