- 1 (17 oz.) can apricot halves
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. orange juice
Directions

1Drain apricots, reserving syrup.

2Puree apricots in blender. Add enough syrup to puree to measure 1 cup.

3Sift together flour, powder, soda and salt.

4Mix in nuts.

5Cream together sugar and Crisco.

6Beat in eggs.

7Stir in orange juice and apricot puree. Add flour mixture and mix well.

8Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

9Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.

10May be frozen.
