Baked Cabbage

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 to 5 c. coarsely cut cabbage
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 lb. Longhorn cheese, grated
  • 1/4 lb. processed cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. cornflake crumbs

Directions

    Salt and cook the cabbage with very little water until tender. Drain.

    Grease a baking dish.

    Alternate a layer of cabbage, a layer of combined cheeses and then white sauce.

    End with cheese and sprinkle with cornflake crumbs.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.
