Baked Fruit With Sour Cream

  • 1 large can peach halves
  • 1 large can apricot halves
  • 1 large can pear halves
  • 1 large can pitted Bing cherries (not pie filling)
  • 2 boxes frozen whole or sliced strawberries, slightly thawed
  • 1 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light rum (Bacardi)
  • 1 large container sour cream

    Drain the first 4 fruits.

    (Reserve 1/2 cup of juice from one of the fruits.)

    Arrange fruits in a 9 x 13-inch glass casserole dish.

    Lay contents of 2 boxes of strawberries in center of fruits, butt side by side.

    Sprinkle fruit with 1 cup brown sugar.

    Add juice and rum.

    Let stand for 1 hour.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes.

    Serve warm topped with sour cream.
