Ingredients
- 1 lb. butter
- 9 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Keep butter at room temperature until soft.

2Separate eggs. In large bowl beat egg whites with 1 cup of sugar until fluffy; set aside.

3Sift flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

4To soft butter add egg yolks and remaining sugar; beat well.

5Gradually add flour by 1/4 cup at a time.

6Add vanilla; beat well.

7Gently mix with egg whites.

8Pour mixture in 9-inch Bundt cake pan. Warm oven for 5 minutes at 350°.

9Place cake in oven; cook for 90 minutes.

10Check with knife.

11When well done, cool and remove from pan.

12Sprinkle top of cake with confectioners sugar.
