  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. cream
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • lump of butter
  • vanilla

    Mix first 3 ingredients and let come to a boil.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Top with meringue.

    Bake at 400° until meringue is golden and filling is set.
