  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cold butter, cut up
  • 15 vanilla wafers, coarsely crushed (about 2/3 cup)
  • 4 large pears, peeled, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
  • 12 KRAFT Caramels
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 3/4 cup thawed COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping

    Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

    Combine oats and sugar in medium bowl.

    Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Stir in wafer crumbs.

    Place pears in 1-1/2-qt.

    casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with crumb mixture.

    Bake 35 to 40 min.

    or until pears are tender and topping is golden brown.

    Meanwhile, microwave caramels and milk in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 min.
