- 1 large bag hash browns, thawed
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1 (16 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz
- Ritz cracker crumbs
- butter topping
Directions

1In a Dutch oven, saute butter and onion.

2Add soup, sour cream and Cheez Whiz.

3Stir until blended over low heat.

4Add potatoes and keep on low heat until potatoes are well heated.

5Pour into a 10 x 15-inch glass pan.

6Crush 1 package Ritz crackers and brown in 1 stick of butter.

7Put on top of potato mixture.

8Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until bubbly in center.
