- 8 slices day old bread
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. cooked chicken
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Put bread slices in buttered 13 x 9-inch casserole and pour beaten eggs and milk over them.

2Layer the diced vegetables and chicken.

3Pour soup mixed with mayonnaise over top.

4Let stand overnight in refrigerator.

5Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Put cheese on 10 minutes before finished.
