Ingredients

  • 1 c. fresh bread crumbs (white, wheat or rye) or regular bread crumbs
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 6 oz. Gruyere cheese, sliced down into strips
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine
  • 3/4 to 1 pt. heavy cream or 3/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. chopped shallots or chopped onion
  • 2 (3 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms or mushroom caps
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 lb. fresh scallops

Directions

    Wash scallops.

    Drain.

    Slice in half and set aside.

    Saute onion or chopped shallots in frying pan.

    Add canned mushrooms and juice.

    Saute with shallots or onions.

    Add parsley, white wine and then cream.

    Saute.
