- 3/4 lb Extra lean ground beef
- 1 each Medium onion, chopped
- 2 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 can Stewed tomatoes (15oz)
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Dried oregano leaves
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 can Pinto beans
Directions

1Crumble ground beef into heavy pot.

2Add onion and garlic.

3Cook over high heat until meat is browned, about 10 min

4Add tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, oregano,salt and cayenne.

5Cover, simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally

6Add beans

7Simmer 30 min more.

8Add water if chili becomes too thick

9Serve piping hot
