- 1 head lettuce, shredded
- 2 medium red onions, sliced
- 1 to 2 green peppers, sliced
- 3 to 4 ribs celery, chopped
- 8 oz. water chestnuts, sliced
- 10 oz. frozen green peas, uncooked
- 2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
- Romano cheese or Parmesan cheese
- 3 eggs, hard-boiled
- 4 strips bacon, crumbled
- 1 to 2 tomatoes, sliced
Directions

1Layer first 6 ingredients in serving bowl in order, beginning with lettuce.

2Spread mayonnaise over top layer; sprinkle with cheese.

3Do not stir!

4Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours. Forty-five minutes before serving, remove from refrigerator and garnish with sliced eggs, bacon and tomatoes.
