- 3 qt. water
- 1 c. coarse salt
- few pieces fresh dill
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 1/4 tsp. alum
Directions

1Put cucumbers in jar.

2Put dill and alum on top of cucumbers in jar.

3Mix vinegar, water, salt and mustard seed in saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over pickles.

4Seal.

5Allow to age several weeks.
