  • medium cucumbers
  • 2 heads dill
  • 1 piece alum (size of grape)
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. coarse medium salt

Directions

    Scrub medium cucumbers with brush; pack into hot, sterilized jars.

    To each quart, add 2 heads of dill, 1 piece of alum and 1 teaspoon mustard seed.

    Fill jars with hot brine, made of the cider vinegar, water and coarse medium salt.

    Seal jars.
