Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, thawed but undiluted
  • 1/2 c. quick oats (uncooked)
  • 1 c. mixed dried fruits
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/4 c. dates
  • 1/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seed
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Mix first 8 ingredients together. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add molasses and egg; mix well. Sift flour and spices together. Add fruit mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 325°. Bake for 35 minutes.
