- 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, thawed but undiluted
- 1/2 c. quick oats (uncooked)
- 1 c. mixed dried fruits
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/4 c. dates
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seed
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix first 8 ingredients together. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add molasses and egg; mix well. Sift flour and spices together. Add fruit mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 325°. Bake for 35 minutes.
