  • 6 to 8 bay leaves
  • 1 1/2 lb. swordfish kabobs
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. snipped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 3 scallions, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 1 large red pepper
  • few dashes hot pepper sauce (bottled)
  • 1 pkg. rice pilaf mix
  • salt and pepper to taste
