Fried Corn

  • 8 to 10 ears corn
  • 1/2 lb. bacon (10 slices)
  • 1 c. milk or light cream
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper

    pulp and milk of corn from the cobs.

    Fry bacon in large, heavy skillet.

    Remove bacon and pour corn into the hot drippings. Cook

    at medium heat until corn begins to brown on bottom.

    sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Add the milk and stir again.

    Simmer, covered, stirring every once in awhile for 12 to 15 minutes or until corn has thickened and is well done.
